Directions to "Bear Crossing",
New Ringgold, PA

From Rte 78 in PA (west if coming from Allentown,
east if coming from Harrisburg):
take exit 29B (Rte 61 North) Turn
right onto Rte 895 East towards New Ringgold.
From Pottsville:
go south
on Rte 61 and make a left onto Rte 443 East towards Orwigsburg. Go through
Orwigsburg and turn left at the blinking traffic light. Go till road dead
ends past McKeansburg, and make a left onto Rte 895 East, towards New Ringgold.
In New Ringgold:
cross the railroad tracks and immediately turn right in front of the Ringgold Inn = E. Railroad St. Go 2.2 miles and make your first possible right (which is the first paved road you will come to on your right and there is a white farmhouse and red barn on left) = Fox Run Rd. Go about 1/2 mile and make your first possible left = Indian Run Rd. Turn into first driveway on your right (black mailbox, 156 Indian Run Rd), stay to the left and park.
Bear Crossing Hall is located in the large building across the parking lot, behind the large pine trees.

From the South (Allentown, Reading and Harrisburg):
If coming from Allentown, take I-78 west and take exit #29B towards Pottsville (rte 61 N). If coming from Harrisburg, take I-78 east and take exit #29 towards Pottsville (rte 61 N). If coming from Reading, take Rte 61 North to intersection with I-78.
Then stay on rte 61 North for about 12 miles. You will go past Deer Lake and Orwigsburg. When you get past the McDonald on left, you are in Schuylkill Haven. Stay on Rte 61 North past Penn State Schuylkill Campus. At the next light, turn left. This is Dock Street and also Rte 443. The church will be on left, within a couple of blocks.
From the North (Pottsville, Frackville, Wilkes-Barre):
Take rte 61 South. When south of Pottsville, you will see a small shopping center on right with Giant Supermarket, Blockbuster Video Store: you are in Cressona. Next on your left you will pass another very small shopping center with Postnet printing services and a Texaco gas station: you are now in Schuylkill Haven. Turn right at the next light, on Dock Street (also called Rte 443). The church will be on left, within a couple of blocks.

Take I-78 (west if coming from Allentown, east if coming from Harrisburg) to exit 35 (route 143, Lenhartsville). Go north (left) on 143 for 4 miles, to the Sunoco gas station. Turn left at the Sonoco onto Hawk Mountain rd. Bear left at the fork. The Kempton New Church is 2.2 miles from the Sunoco station, on your right. There will be a sign out front.
If you are coming from route 309, take route 143 south. Pass route 737 to your left, and go to the Sunoco gas station. At the Sunoco, turn right onto Hawk Mountain rd, then follow the directions above.
If you are coming over Hawk Mountain, from Schuylkill County, go past Hawk Mountain Sanctuary at the top and keep on Hawk Mountain rd. The church is 4.8 miles from the Sanctuary, on your left. There will be a sign out front.
